Inauguration of Ferké Solar, the first photovoltaic power plant developed by a private Ivorian company.
On 3 July 2026, PFO AFRICA, through its subsidiary PFO Énergies, reached a historic milestone with the official inauguration of Ferké Solar, the first photovoltaic power plant financed, developed and operated by a private Ivorian independent power producer (IPP).
This major achievement, led by PFO Énergies, demonstrates the PFO AFRICA Group’s ability to develop strategic infrastructure and confirms its commitment to the energy transition and the sustainable development of Côte d’Ivoire.
On this occasion, Mr Clyde Fakhoury, Managing Director of PFO AFRICA, praised the commitment of the teams and thanked the authorities, partners and local communities, while recalling that, beyond an energy infrastructure, Ferké Solar embodies an ambitious vision for the country’s future.
“We are inaugurating far more than a solar power plant. We are commissioning a new source of energy, growth and hope for this region and for our country.” Clyde Fakhoury, Managing Director of the PFO Africa group.
